Da Vinci Code in Concert (3)
After more than one hundred million copies sold of Dan Brown’s world bestseller The Da Vinci Code (Sakrileg), the 2006 film adaptation achieved the second most successful box-office opening in cinema history.
The mystery thriller starring Tom Hanks and Amélie star Audrey Tautou combines a dense, atmospheric narrative with rich detail and outstanding performances. A key element of its success was the music by composer Hans Zimmer, whose score profoundly shaped the film’s impact. With the collaboration of Richard Harvey—who also composed the music for Luther—Zimmer expanded his distinctive musical language with sacred choral passages, creating a soundtrack both powerful and deeply moving.
In November 2025, the film will celebrate its world concert premiere: as the blockbuster is shown in full, the acclaimed film music specialists of the 21st Century Orchestra & Chorus, conducted by Ludwig Wicki, will perform the original soundtrack live. This unforgettable experience will bring the music to life, perfectly synchronized note for note with the action on screen.
